First time in a Leonardo hotel and will definitely use again. Location excellent within a couple of minutes of The Royal Mile and five to ten minutes from Prince’s Street and close to Waverley Station. Hotel was spotless with very comfy beds and pillows and good showers. Lovely bath towels that cover those of us slightly bigger than average. Iron, board and safe in room alone with kettle etc. hair dryer (though it is of the variety with a tightly curled cable, very difficult to stretch and a bit frustrating to use) Bottled water left each day. Mini fridge in room. All of the staff were so friendly, reception staff great and staff at breakfast. Left luggage allowed on day of check in and check out. Breakfast was hot buffet and continental. Something for everyone. Omelettes made on request, granola bowls and smoothies made up. American pancakes, lots of different types of milks. Great selection! We had an issue with the controls on the Aircon which I let reception know about. I was just back at the bedroom door when a gentleman from facilities was there! So fast! He checked it, went back to check main board and was back in five minutes with a Second Gentleman and control was fixed. All in the space of 15 minutes of reporting. Now that is what I call 1st class service! One thing to note is that there is building work going on at back of hotel which they hope to finish this summer. It did’nt disturb us as we were at front of hotel and up early. I will definitely stay again when next in Edinburgh and recommend this hotel.

Overall ok hotel Reception staff a bit rude, a group of young girls just talking to each other As mentioned by other guests there is a construction going on and it is very loud Breakfast is ok, always the same and a bit limited, but enough to start the day and good if its included on the rate (would not pay extra). The staff for breakfast was nice and welcoming. Rooms are ok, on the small side, but like most standard rooms in Europe. Location is great, but Edinburg is very small, so all major attractions are within walkable distance. For the price I do not think I would stay again, but its a good option overall.

Leonardo Royal Hotel (43 Jeffreys Street, Old Town, Edinburgh) is strategically located for exploring Edinburgh Old Town on foot. The Main train station was only a 3' walk away, and shops and restaurants about a 12' - 15' walk away. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful at all times - especially the reception people who made our stay so much more easy and comfortable. Room 626 was spacious and fully equipped. Wi-Fi was free and effective. The hotel was in very good decorative order. The sound insulation was very effective. Room care and breakfast were excellent. We had a memorable stay at Leonardo Royal Hotel!

The room was very comfortable and all amenities were provided. It is located right across the train station in the city centre and it was very convenient and close to all attractions. The staff members were very friendly and they did their best to help. They really went above and beyond to help me with my queries. The hotel has very speedy internet and easy casting option to the TV so you can watch whatever you want from your devices. The rooms have kettle, espresso machine and complimentary tea/coffee.
